Two private institutional clients retained E&C to assert federal securities law claims against United Rentals, Inc., Cerberus Capital Management, L.P. and others in connection with the November 2007 proposed acquisition of United Rentals by affiliates of Cerberus. After performing an extensive pre-filing investigation, monitoring Delaware state court proceedings relating to the proposed acquisition and conducting preliminary motion practice, E&C was appointed as sole lead counsel.
